Cynom

Cynomys are the result of a dark mage once hoping to rule the land hoping to quickly form an effective army. He transformed prairie dogs of a region into half-sized humanoids with fur. Due to their relatively recent introduction, it’s not yet clear if the species is meant to be evil or good to the wider population. Certain groups have already started to farm and most of their species have not yet developed a taste for meat.

A territorial species normally aims to gather the necessary power to claim their own territory in the land. Also, one of the most short-lived maturing in 2 years and dying in 8.

The species does not often build structures but they have an exceptional digging ability. This results in cynoms often having towns built within the earth. When a cynom colony does build a structure, it is often a mark of prestige within the community.
